With a sad heart and with deep faith in the Resurrection, I write to tell you that Paul Gallagher passed away Thursday, June 12. On April 14 he was diagnosed with cancer, and in this short two months, he suffered a great deal. 

Jane, his wife, has been wonderful...caring for Paul's every need and providing the strength he needed—as well as caring for all of us who loved Paul. Jane, his good friends Margaret and Bernie Manchester, and I were with him as he died.

Paul was not only my associate in our higher education search work, but before and beyond that, he was my dear friend. Paul was a man of deep integrity and kindness, a trusted mentor whose intellectual excellence was only surpassed by a wicked sense of humor.
 
I will miss Paul…
